Zespół Obscura wypuścił w całości do odsłuchu nowy album A Valediction. Krążek ukazał się pod skrzydłami wytwórni płytowej Nuclear Blast Records. Na płycie wystąpił gościnnie Björn „Speed” Strid (Soilwork). Za miksy oraz mastering odpowiada Fredrik Nordström. Okładkę zaprojektował Eliran Kantor.
Wcześnij kapela udostępniła teledyski do utworów When Stars Collide, Devoured Usurper, A Valediction i Solaris.
