Bruksela kojarzy mi się z bandą cwaniaków, którzy twierdzą, że ślimak to ryba, a banan powinien być wygięty pod kątem „iluś tam” stopni. Na szczęście z odsieczą przyszło trio My Diligence wraz ze swoją propozycją stonerów.
Wydana 25 stycznia tego roku druga płyta zespołu zatytułowana „Sun Rose” przynosi muzykę świeżą, pełną muzycznych pejzaży i bogatego tła, jest klimatycznie i lekko, a mimo wszystko gitarowo i ciężko (choć zespół w swoim składzie nie ma basisty: dwie gitary + perkusja). Dziewięć spójnych utworów przypadnie do gustu fanom takich kapel jak Torche, Mastodon, czy nawet Fu Manchu i Elder! Są power-popowe melodie, ciekawe wokalne harmonie i post-metalowe patenty na aranż. Krążek nagrywany zimą 2018 w Studio Pyramide w stolicy Belgii pełen jest energii i „chwyta” od początku – My Diligence doskonale opanowali technikę pisania prostych, ale nie prostackich numerów. Począwszy od otwierającego Resentful (czy tylko ja słyszę tu troszkę Royal Blood?), przez wyśmienity Flying Poney (zabawa z wokalami), aż po końcowe momenty Serpentine, płyta trzyma tętno i daje sporo frajdy!
Zaledwie 37 minut muzyki wystarczy, by podnieść słuchaczowi puls, i nie mogę się doczekać, aby zobaczyć My Diligence z tym właśnie materiałem na małym, klubowym koncercie. Zdecydowanie płyta warta uwagi!

Brussels reminds me a bunch of assholes, who stated that snail is a fish, and banana should be bent in „some” degrees. Luckily, Brussels-based band My Diligence and their album „Sun Rose” came with the succour.
Released in January 2019, „Sun Rose” brought fresh, full of soundscapes music with a lot of rich background. It’s light and atmospheric, but really heavy and „guitarly” at the same time, despite the fact that band doesn’t have a bassist – there is only a drummer and two guitarists. Nine tracks create a consistent album, which will enjoy fans of Torche, Mastodon, but also Fu Manchu and even Elder! We have a power-pop melodies, interesting vocal harmonies, and post-metal ideas for arrangement. The „Sun Rose” was recorded during the winter 2018 in Studio Pyramide in the capital of Belgium, it’s full of energy and will „catch you” from the very beginning. My Diligence masters an art of writing simple, but not boorish songs. As from Resentful (it’s only me, or we can hear a bit of Royal Blood?), through the great Flying Poney (vocals!), up to the last seconds of Serpentine, LP keeping the pulse and gives a lot of fun!
Just 37 minutes of music is enough to raise your heart beat. I can’t wait to see the band with these songs in a small venue. You have to check „Sun Rose” for sure!
